SANIJET was founded by John W. Booth in 1993, a former whirlpool bath manufacturer. Booth discovered that common cleaning methods to remove residue from conventional piped whirlpool tubs simply did not work. He decided that a better system and process were needed.

After years of research and development, Booth found that the only effective solution for removing the residue and bacteria found in common whirlpools was to eliminate the hidden pipes, air channels, pumps and blowers that retain water and breed dangerous bacteria. In 2000, SANIJET introduced its patented Pipeless™ hydrotherapy system.
